The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from 11 AM to 10 PM MDT Sunday. A Red Flag Warning has also been issued from 11 AM to 10 PM MDT Monday.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 203 Lower Colorado River, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 291 Northern San Juan Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 292 North Fork Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 293 Gunnison Basin Forecast Area. In Utah, Fire Weather Zone 490 Colorado River Basin and Fire Weather Zone 491 Southeast Utah.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...6 to 11 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions may become favorable for the easy ignition and rapid spread of fires due to low relative humidity and strong gusty winds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Another day of celebration. At our board meeting last night, Firefighter/Paramedic Brad Farson, Firefighter/EMT Sean Slattery were officially sworn in and badged as they completed their probationary period.

Additionally, we welcomed 2 new volunteers who began as explorers. Katie and Piper O’Neill were sworn in and badged as our newest volunteer exterior Firefighter/EMTs.

Did you know that Harry and Linda got wed yesterday (although I don't expect that they want you to Know) but sod that They won't anyway since this is a private FB . I believe you met Linda twice here and at ?'s funeral in Ireland? How are you doing anyway? At peace after our falling out after the terrible fires of 2017 and with Harry after the beginning of lock-down, though both have taken until now ffs! Good to see George and Gorah from time to time as well! How are y'll getting along?
